POINT OF SURVEY:
- logo for London underground only really needs to be recognised in London, there is no need for it to be a recognised brand beyond the capital, yet it is which shows the success of the design. This is one way you can measure the success of a design, if it is popular, or at least recognisable worldwide.
- if it is recognisable on a national scale that will prove its success in the UK
- if it is recognised on a worldwide scale it will prove its success globally
- excluding london (makes the survey less valid)
Even though a national survey wouldn't prove my point (the London Underground roundel being a successful, globally recognised design, proving the success of something that really only needs to be recognised in London, as that is the only place it has use)
